Transfers

Lightning Tactical is glad to handle any transfer of firearms you may purchase from the internet.

Federal law requires all sales of firearms from out of state sellers to go through a licensed dealer in the buyer’s home state.  The transfer process is extremely simple.

How does it work?

The first step is finding and purchasing your new gun from a vendor online or private party in another state.  Once the sale is arranged, contact Lightning Tactical, and we will email you a copy of our FFL (Federal
Firearms License) to forward to the seller.  In the case of a private party sale, we ask for the seller’s contact information as well.  After the seller has been paid, they will mail your new gun to us.  When the gun arrives, we’ll email or call to let you know it’s arrived and schedule a time for pickup.

What happens next?

When you arrive to pickup the gun, please bring a current, non-expired, government photo ID.  We’ll then complete the necessary  paperwork and perform the instant FBI background check.  If you have
a valid Texas Concealed Handgun License (CHL), no background check is required!

Future purchases?

Feel free to  keep an emailed copy of our FFL in your files for future internet only purchases.  (It is not valid for in person or face to face purchases.)  All we ask is you email us when you buy a new gun so we know to look out for it and know who it belongs to once it arrives.
